Lilah Belle had been breaking her neck to get at a “real” pair of scissors that actually worked and the concentration was amazing.
Chuckie’s debut was my start of using the 50mm lens to create sharp closeups with a blurred or preferably bokeh background. (f 1.8) before I practiced on a “real person”.
More practice with the 50mm lens. I noticed the disembodied hand later but this was just a quick snatched image. Will be watching out for it next time.
Just a quick shot with the 50mm in a cafe, quick pose.
50mm. My friend Susan posing for a shot for her mum, sister and son.
50mm interior shot. posed. The other face of Susan when she is concentrating on her creative side.
50mm. unposed. I particularly like this image because I feel it shows her humble spirit.
Patty, one of the kindest people I know. Loves karioke, a Saturday bet on the ponies at the pub, a night out, making exquisite Christmas decorations & cooking for huge amounts of friends. She loves Christmas and fills the house with beautiful decorations made over the years that she also gives to friends. She always makes everyone welcome in her home and loves to cook a big baked dinner and have you come and share it. She never wants anything in return but your company.
50mm. fast posed. Taken very late in the afternoon on a rainy cold day, 3200 ISO.
I think the grainyness of the image adds a certain “grunge” that I like.
50mm. unposed. Background darkened. Ezra wrapped up on his mothers lap on a chilly day, about 8 weeks old at Christmas 2013. I don’t mind the darkness of the image as it brings to my mind what it may have been like for Ezra to be enclosed and protected within the womb.
I can see how the domestic portraiture subject has helped me develop certain techniques and thought processes that have improved my photography.
